Long story...short...My name is James Napuunoa. I'm 51. My legs were turning black and my feet were dying. The skin covering both legs was untouchable. Neuropathy, but Not diabetes..I went to the E R many times..No answers..I went to see Dr.Shamani and within 5 min she told me what was wrong with my legs. She sent me to a specialist. I've had 7 surgeries in the last 4 months. Her diagnoses was spot on and my condition is very serious. Dr. Shamani listens to my concerns and asks questions to ensure she understands them to be able to diagnose accurately. She responds with compassion and is professional at all times. The one thing I noticed is that she has a hands off approach to her examinations. For example, when describing the pain I'm experiencing, she doesn't probe the area, touch to feel for tightness or tenderness, and doesn't test certain movement restrictions or weaknesses. I find this to be a little odd.

Dr Shamani is exactly what I've been looking for in a doctor. She and her staff are extremely thorough asking a serious of important questions with each visit ensuring that all needs are addressed. She is efficient making sure that multiple things are cared for in one visit and I got an appt very quickly. I will be referring my mom to see her as well.

As always, Dr. Shamani’s staff are helpful and patient centered. They always focus on doing their job well and with a great attitude! Dr. Shamani is also very focused on listening and asking the right questions to ascertain what a patient’s concerns are.

Dr. Shamani is a very professional but yet she makes you feel like your just sitting there talking to a friend. I would have given 5 stars if not for the CPAP machine ordering! This is the 2nd time of ordering a CPAP machine and this time someone didn't put the code for the machine...only the parts to be authorized! Last year, it never even got that far...not sure who messed that up! But I love how thorough Dr. Shamani is during my checkup!
